This stunning wine is dark purple in colour. The nose is ripe black cherries, plums and blackberries. There is a hint of lifted aromatics mixed with dark chocolate, cigar box, fennel, aniseed and pepper. The palate is spicy and full of plums and blackberries, rich in flavour and spice with great tanins. The finish is long, smooth and silky. Only 120 cases made.

Critical acclaims

  • "The blockbuster, super-powerful, rich 2004 Shiraz/Viognier (96% of the former and 4% of the latter) reveals notes of flowers, apricot jam, sweet creme de cassis, blackberries, and black truffles. Intense, full-bodied, and oozing with extract, this is a sensationally rich, nearly over-the-top, exotic, mouthfilling Shiraz that screams Barossa Valley. It should drink well for 10-15 years."

These wine ratings are based on a 100 point quality scale and are selected by each publication's unique criteria.
